Freedom of Information Request No. FOI 027-2019 
I refer to your request for access to documents made under the Freedom of 
Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) dated 18 February 2019 by which you 
requested access to documents in the possession of the Australian Securities 
and Investments Commission (ASIC).  
Your request sought access to:  
‘The  Treasurer,  the  Hon  Josh  Frydenberg  MP  has  written  to  the 
Chairman of ASIC, James Shipton,  following the release of the Final 
Report of the Hayne Royal Commission on 1 February 2019. 
 
The document or documents I seek are copies of such letters as wel  
as any correspondence from James Shipton to the Treasurer. 
 
The search period is 1 February 2019 to the present.’ (my emphasis
