REQUEST BY:

DECISION BY: Will Story

By ema
il: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx.xx Dear Mr Smith
On 7 May 2020, you made a request to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (the
Department) under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (
FOI Act) in the following
terms:
I request the following information:
- The titles of all final reports delivered to DPMC, by the consulting firm McKinsey or
any of its associates, since 1 Jan 2016.
- The delivery dates of all final reports delivered to DPMC, by the consulting firm
McKinsey or any of its associates since 1 Jan 2016
To be clear, I am not requesting the title page, I am instead am instead requesting the
title/names of all reports that have been delivered by McKinsey. This should be no
more than a few words for each relevant document.
Please exclude duplicates from this FOI request.
The reason I am making this request, is that the subject matter of any given tender is
not visible to the end-user on Austender. Through viewing the titles of each of those
reports, I will have a useful index for identifying which McKinsey reports (if any) are
worth purusing in future FOIs.
Given the recent, significant public interest in McKinsey's consulting activities with
the Australian public sector; and the firm's conduct abroad, I request that the usually
applicable FOI fees be waived in this instance.

Please confine the request to only include the title/delivery dates of reports stored on
either:
• the Department’s email system for emails with an attachment received by
@pmc.gov.au accounts from @mckinsey.com accounts; • the Department’s electronic
records system.
Authorised decision-maker
I am authorised to make this decision in accordance with arrangements approved by the
Department’s Secretary under section 23 of the FOI Act.
