The City of Melville and Western Power are pleased to provide this update to all property
owners and stakeholders on the progress of the design and planning for the Melville South
project. Along with a range of advices delivered to letter boxes as each stage of the works
proceeds, there will be further Update Newsletters quarterly during the project.

Project Update
The design has been complete for some time and the necessary approvals from Western
Power and the State Government are now being obtained. The project is expected to

commence in late June 2015.

Please see the map on the back of this newsletter that shows the Cells in the project area
and the direction the work will take through the project.

The civil contractors,
Diamond Communications, are expected to commence the
installation of underground cabling in the streets in Cell 1 near the intersection of Marmion
Street and Rome Road in late June. The electrical contractors,
Sturton Holdings
(Westralian Utility Services), who will be installing the new underground connections

from the green dome locations to each meter box, will also commence work in the same
area around that time.

A Startup Newsletter will be mailed to all property owners in early June with more details
on the works and how they will be conducted including information on repairs and
reinstatements and who to contact about these. The project will take around 18 months to
complete.

The State Underground Power Program in Melville South is a partnership between the Government of
Western Australia (through the Public Utilities Office), Western Power and the City of Melville to improve
residential amenity and security of power supply.
