UNDERGROUND POWER PROJECT – ATTADALE SOUTH 
 
 
The  City  of  Melville  recently  undertook  a  survey  of  property  owners  in  Attadale  to 
- 20200040 
determine  the  level  of  support for  underground power  within  the  project  area known  as 
Attadale South. 
 
The  City  of  Melville  is  pleased  to  announce  that  the  results  of  that  survey  indicate  that 
82%  of  respondents  supported  the  underground  power  project  in  principle  and  74%  of 
Melville 
respondents were in favour of the proposal and prepared to contribute financially to the 
of 
project. 
 
Based  on  the  results  of  the  survey  the  Council  and  Western  Power  have  decided  to 
progress the design of the project with a proposal to commence works around mid 2010.

The  City  of  Melville  and  Western  Power  will  be  undertaking  consultation  with  property 
owners  who  live  in  the  immediate  vicinity  of  proposed  transformer  locations  and 
switchgear cabinets.
