Response to Freedom of Information request: FA20/11/00011 
Total number of applicants, as at 30 October 2020 (or later), that have been approved for conferral 
of Citizenship and are now waiting to attend a ceremony in the ACT region. Also how many 
applications are stil  on hands from ACT region need to be processed and which month’s 
application are being processed now.

As at 30 November 2020, there were 1,115 clients resident in the ACT whose applications for
citizenship by conferral had been approved and were awaiting a citizenship
ceremony.
•
As at 30 November 2020, there were 2,063 conferral applications on-hand from applicants whose
residential state is the ACT.
•
Al  applications are processed in the order in which they are received. Based on the initial assessment, 
the time taken to finalise individual applications is dependent upon the level of complexity associated
with each case.
