Privacy and Data Security
5.1.14 DVA, and by extension the Service Provider, is required to comply with the
Australian Privacy Principles (APP 6 and 11) set out in Schedule 1 of the
Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012, which amends
the Privacy Act 1988 ('the Act'). This includes compliance with respect to the

security, use and disclosure of personal information (as described in the Act) to
the extent that the contents of those principles apply as if DVA were a record-
keeper as defined in the Act.
