confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. There have been 429 
new cases since 6:00am yesterday. 
Of the 2,252 confirmed cases in Australia, 8 have died from 
COVID-19. More than 162,000 tests have been conducted across 
Australia.

Everyone must practise good hygiene to protect against infection 
and prevent the virus spreading:
- cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue
- put used tissues straight into the bin
- wash your hands often with soap and water, including before 
and after eating and after going to the toilet
- use alcohol-based hand sanitisers
- avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces such as benchtops,
desks and doorknobs
- clean and disinfect frequently used objects such as mobile 
phones, keys, wal ets and work passes
- increase the amount of fresh air available by opening windows
or adjusting air conditioning

International:
An international travel ban is in place for all Australians.
Al  travel ers to Australia or Australians returning from overseas 
are required to self-isolate for 14 days, either at home or in a 
hotel.
Within Australia: 
Only essentail travel within Australia should occur at this time, 
with Tasmania, the NT, WA, Queensland and SA having 
announced border closures. Anyone entering these states or 
territories are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
