Freedom of Information (FOI) request - Access Decision
On 10 October 2021, the Department of Home Affairs (the Department) received a request for
access to document under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a decision on your request for access under the
FOI Act.

Scope of request
You have requested access to the following document:
1. Data of Skil ed independent visa (Subclass 189) as at 10/10/2021, the total
number of EOI in submitted status for 2611 and 2613 occupations between 75-105
points, with/without professional year.
2. Data of Skil ed independent visa (Subclass 189) granted between 01/01/2021
and 10/10/2021 for 2611 and 2613 occupations between 75-105 points,
with/without professional year.

Document in scope of request
In accordance with section 17 of the FOI Act, in relation to Part 2, the Department has used
its computer system to produce one document that contains information that falls within the
scope of your request. The data produced in the document existed in the possession of the
Department on 10 October 2021 when your FOI request was received.
In relation to Part 1 of your request, the information on Skill Select EOI is publicly available
on the Department of Home Affairs’ website at:

Decision
The decision in relation to the document in the possession of the Department which fall
within the scope of your request is as follows:
• Release one document in full
• Refuse Part 1 of your request
Section 4(1)(d) of the FOI Act provides that a document for the purpose of the FOI Act
does not include material maintained for reference purposes that is otherwise publicly
available. If the Department did hold any documents falling within the scope of your
request, I consider that you would not be entitled to access to those documents, in
accordance with section 4(1)(d) of the FOI Act.

Your Review Rights
Internal Review
If you disagree with this decision, you have the right to apply for an internal review by the
Department of this decision. Any request for internal review must be provided to the

attach reasons why you believe a review of the decision is necessary. The internal review
wil be carried out by an officer other than the original decision maker and the Department
must make a review decision within 30 days.
