We believe strongly that there are several compelling

reasons why Umadeekshith Nadesan should be granted an
exemption to travel to Australia and visit Clare temporarily.
We have been in a committed relationship since December
2015 and lived together since May 2018. The first and
important compelling reason is, that Clare is suffering
greatly due to the extended separation and resulted in
mental health issues with feelings of isolation, anxiety and
depression. Clare sees a counsellor regularly to help
through this but living on my own and not seeing
Umadeekshith for the past 10 months has been extremely
challenging.
Secondly, is it imperative that Umadeekshith be granted
temporary entry to Australia to visit Clare as we desperately
would like to start a family and have a baby. Clare’s OBGYN
Dr Fiona Cowell (part of Monash IVF) has indicated it is
important that we begin this immediately to ensure the
greatest success.

spouse of an A/a citizen/PR. Evidence provided to
demonstrate clients claim includes:
- Relationship Statements
- Identification Documents
- Travel Itineraries
- Bank Statement A/a citizen
- Money transfers - unverified
I acknowledge that the client claims to have been in a
relationship with A/a citizen/PR since December 2015. I
have considered the attached information and I am not
satisfied that the client has provided information to
support defacto relationship, such as evidence to
suggest that the couple have established a joint
household, share financial resources, or have any major
joint commitments/responsibilities. Therefore, I am not
satisfied that current policy requirements of Immediate
Family are met.
