Dear Ray Mehta 
I refer to your email dated 13 February 2022 in which you request access to documents held by 
the Department of Home Affairs (Department) under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the 
FOI Act). 
You have requested access to: 
Number of Applications Lodged, Granted and Refused for last 5 years for the applicants 
with Country of Citizenship as India, for below visas: 
1. Subclass 600 Tourist stream (applied from India) 2. Subclass 600 Sponsored family
stream  (applied from India).
On 9 March 2022, the Department notified you of a requirement to pay a processing charge 
of $60.00 in respect of your request.   
In particular, the Department notified you that, within 30 days of receipt of that letter, you 
must either: 
• agree to pay the charge; or
• contend that the charge has been wrongly assessed, should be reduced, or should not
be imposed; or
• withdraw the request.
On 9 March 2022, you notified the Department that you wish to withdraw your FOI request. As 
such, your FOI request FA 22/02/00712 is deemed withdrawn and now closed.
