Dear Mr/s Briggs
FOI REQUEST - REFERENCE NUMBER 2015-004
I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI
Act) in your email of 26 January 2015. Specifically, you have sought access to the following
documents:
“A copy of all documents that contain a reference to "Taylor Swift" or "Shake It Off" that was
produced [between 10 and 30 January] by staff of triple j.

In particular, I request all correspondence and documents relating to the decision to disqualify
the Taylor Swift song 'Shake It Off' from the 2014 triple j Hottest 100.

I have recently finalised a decision in relation to an application under the FOI Act for virtually the same
documents. A copy of that decision (reference number 2015-003) is available on the ABC’s website
here: http://about.abc.net.au/how-the-abc-is-run/what-guides-us/freedom-of-information/foi-disclosure-
log/
In the circumstances, it appears unnecessary to issue a separate decision in this matter, which will be
drafted in identical terms.
If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me. Otherwise, I will
consider the matter finalised.
Yours sincerely
