I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 
1982 (FOI Act) received 16 May 2022. 
 
You have requested access to “the number of cases where anyone (whether or not an 
applicant) requested a withdrawal (whether or not the withdrawal took effect) of review 
applications in the Migration and Refugee Division of the AAT within the last two years 
(1 May 2020 to 1 May 2022)”. 
 
We received your request on 16 May 2022 and the 30 day statutory period for 
processing your request commenced from the day after that date. You should therefore 
expect a decision from us by 15 June 2022. The 30 day period may be extended if we 
need to consult other parties or for other reasons permit ed under the FOI Act.
