Response: 
1. As at 27 May 2022, there were 4,263 applications on-hand for Australian citizenship by conferral where the applicant had selected Hume City
Council (VIC) as their local council.
2. As at 27 May 2022, there were 2,518 people whose applications for Australian citizenship by conferral had been approved and were waiting to
attend an Australian citizenship ceremony at Hume City Council (VIC). Of these, 1,412 had their applications approved on, or before, 31 March
2022.
3. For the six months from November 2021 to April 2022, the average waiting time, from approval to ceremony, for people who attended a ceremony 
at Hume City Council (VIC) was 200 days.
4. During the period 1 March 2020 to 31 March 2022, 2,327 people acquired Australian Citizenship at a ceremony conducted by Hume City Council 
(VIC).
