under section 23 of the FOI Act.

To identify documents for your request, I arranged for relevant staff likely to be able identify 
documents to undertake a comprehensive search of the relevant electronic holdings used by the 
AEC.

I have taken the fol owing material into account in making my decision:  
a)  the terms of your request; 
b)  the content of the documents that fal  within the scope of your FOI Request;  
c)  the FOI Act, specifical y section 47F;  
d)  the guidelines (‘FOI Guidelines’) issued by the Australian Information Commissioner under 
section 93A of the FOI Act;  
e)  the FOI Guidance Notes, July 2011 issued by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet; 
f)  the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 (Cth); and 
g)  the Privacy Act 1988.  
Reasons 
I did not identify any exemptions under the FOI Act that would apply to the document.
