Dear Mr Smith
Re. Freedom of Information Request
The purpose of this letter is to give you a decision about access to documents you requested
under the

On 20 June 2022, you requested access to:

January 2017, on the cost effectiveness of aid programs or interventions
The titles and delivery dates of all final reports delivered to or produced by DFAT, since 1
January 2010, including the term 'effective altruism' (not case sensitive).
To be clear, I am not requesting the title page, I am instead am instead requesting the
title/names of reports. This should be no more than a few words for each relevant
document.’
I am authorised under section 23 of the FOI Act to make decisions in relation to FOI requests, and
have been appointed to be the decision‐maker on your request.
Thorough searches conducted by the Development Performance and Advisory Services Branch
found no documents within the scope of your request.
In accordance with section 24A(1) of the FOI Act, your request for access to documents is refused
as all reasonable steps have been taken to find the documents, and I am satisfied that the
documents do not exist.
