Request: 
Number of people whose application for Australian citizenship by conferral has been approved and 
who were waiting to be allocated to attend an Australian citizenship ceremony at various Melbourne 
urban region councils listed below. 
1. City of Melbourne
2. City of Port Phillip
Response: 
1. As at 22 July 2022, there were 138 people whose applications for Australian citizenship by conferral had
been approved and who were waiting to be invited to attend an Australian citizenship ceremony conducted
by City of Melbourne Council (VIC).
2. As at 22 July 2022, there were 401 people whose applications for Australian citizenship by conferral had
been approved and who were waiting to be invited to attend an Australian citizenship ceremony conducted
by City of Port Phil ip Council (VIC).
