Hi Shirley,
Many thanks for confirming the time and date works for the Governor. Would you like a placeholder sent through to
you?
I’ll come back on all the additional details – attendees, run sheet etc, in due course.
Best regards,

Dear Melanie
Now that the hearing date is locked in, I can now confirm that the Governor is available to join Barrenjoey client
lunch, on Thursday 9 February from 12.30pm to 2pm.
I look forward to receiving further details closer to the date: venue, attendees list, and how is the discussion going to
run.
Kind regards
Shirley

Hi Shirley,
Many thanks for coming back on below.
Would the Governor be available for a breakfast or afternoon tea on February 8th? If that is not an option, perhaps
we wait until the hearing date is set and work out a date post having that information available.
Best regards,

Dear Melanie
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately, a lunch on the 8th of February does not work in the Governor’s diary and the 9th isn’t ideal as there is
a possibility that the Parliamentary Hearing date may be on the 10th or 17th of February at this stage. (The Governor
appears before the House Economic Committee twice a year in February and August.)
Are there any other dates you would like me to check for you?
Or could I come back to you once we are aware of the hearing date for 2023?
Thanks and kind regards
Shirley

Good afternoon Shirley,
I hope you’re well. Further to Jo’s email below, touching base to help confirm a time for the lunch with Phil.
Would early Feb be possible? Ideally post the board meeting on either February 8th or 9th would work well.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jo
Thanks for attending the CEDA function last night.
I would be happy to participate in a lunch as you describe.
Shirley can help us find a time that works.

Hi Phil
Lovely to see you last night and thank you for the address and Q&As. I am getting a lot of questions from clients
about whether deglobalisation, demographics and decarbonisation will lead to higher inflation in the decade ahead so
your comments were very timely.
That got me wondering whether you would be open to a lunch or dinner with a few Barrenjoey senior staff and key
clients (boardroom style) at some stage in the new year? We could frame it around these broader structural issues.

Hi Shirley
Yes lunch is at our office and that is the correct address. It is actually the ANZ building but we have an entrance and
foyer from Castkereagh St so that would be the quickest route for Phil.
He can come up to L41 which is our reception (no pass needed) and I will greet him on arrival. Lunch is 12:30om
start and we will aim to sit down promptly so it would be great if he could arrive just before 12:30pm. We will
conclude promptly at 2:00pm.
Let me know if you need any additional information.
Thank you for assisting in organising today.

Dear Jo
Just want to send Phil to the right place. So I would like to check a few details with you:
1. where is the lunch going to be held? Is it at Barrenjoey ie on Level 41, Liberty Place on 161 Castlereagh
Street? Is the building next to the ANZ Tower? And is entrance on Castlereagh or Pitt st?
2. will someone be meeting Phil on arrival on the ground floor or does he make his way to the dining room?
3. could you also let me know what time is the sit‐down?
Thank you

Hi Phil
Thank you for joining us for lunch tomorrow. I know how busy you are, and we do appreciate your time and insights.
The economic outlook feels as complex as ever.
I thought it would be useful to share a list of client names and the Barrenjoey attendees – see below. Everyone is very
much looking forward to it.
Brian Benari will open and pass to you for comments and then a discussion around the table which I am sure will be
wide-reaching and robust. I will close and make sure that we are wrapped up by 2pm. Please do let me know if there
were any particular issues you would like Brian to highlight in his opening and he will remind attendees that the lunch
is Chatham House rules (I assume that’s the case).
Let me know if you need anything from our end – otherwise, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Best
Jo
