I refer to your email of 9 May 2023 to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (the
Department) requesting documents under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a decision on your request for access under the
FOI Act.
Scope of request
1. list of the entire delegation travelling with the prime minister to london for the coronation in
may 2023 excluding security personnel.
2. list of the entire delegation travelling with the governor general to london for the coronation
in may 2023 excluding security personnel.
3. Name of hotel and number of rooms booked for delegations.
4. number and type of vehicles hired for the delegation.
Partial transfer of request
On 21 May 2023, the Department notified you that part of the request was transferred to the Office of
the Official Secretary to the Governor-General for processing, including item 2, and where it was
relevant to the Office items 3 and 4. The Department has not processed part 2 of the above scope in
light of this transfer.

Department’s Secretary under section 23 of the FOI Act.

In accordance with section 17 of the FOI Act the Department has prepared one (1) document that
meets the terms of your request.
I have decided to provide access in ful to the document. This document is enclosed with my decision.
Review rights
If you disagree with my decision, you may apply for an internal review or Information Commissioner
review of the decision.
Internal review
Under section 54 of the FOI Act, you may apply in writing to the Department for an internal review of
my decision. The internal review application must be made within 30 days after the date of this letter.
Where possible please attach reasons why you believe review of the decision is necessary. The internal
review wil be carried out by another officer within 30 days from the date it is received.

Information Commissioner review
Under section 54L of the FOI Act, you may apply to the Australian Information Commissioner to
review my decision. An application for review by the Information Commissioner must be made in
