Dear Right to Know Applicant
Your Freedom of Information request - decision
I refer to your request, received by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations
(department) on 2 November 2025, which the department interpreted as being for access
under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) to the following documents:
“… the caseload numbers for Workforce Australia Services, broken down by provider
and [either]
employment region or SA4 … for each year since [1 July 2022]
.”
My decision
I am authorised to make decisions under section 23(1) of the FOI Act.
The department has produced a written document in accordance with section 17 of the FOI
Act in response to your request. The document contains two spreadsheets, outlining the
Workforce Australia Services Caseload by Provider and Employment Region, respectively.
Both spreadsheets are broken down by year.
The document was created by departmental staff working in the Data Management and
Reporting Branch who developed and ran a query to extract the requested information from
the department’s systems. In accordance with the standard practice and procedures of the
Data Management and Reporting Branch, the results of the query were modified to make it
presentable and all figures were rounded to the nearest 5 for all publications of data, in
order to protect individual’s privacy.
I have decided to grant you
access in full to the document.
A schedule of the document for release is at
Attachment A.
