The Alligator Rivers Region Advisory Committee provides a formal forum for consultation regarding the effects on the environment in the Alligator Rivers Region of uranium mining operations and environmental research. Minister appoints chair, Director of national Parks and Supervising Scientist are ex-officio positions. All other members are nominees of stakeholder organisations. There is no ministerial discretion in their appointment. They are not considered toward OfW or Geographic reports.
