The CRC for Sheep Industry Innovation was established to deliver transformational change in the sheep industry. The main challenge was to improve productivity, produce sheep that are easier to manage and improve meat quality through increasing the rate of genetic change and introduction of genomic technologies for breeding programs. The CRC’s Information Nucleus program has been a huge success in delivering on these ambitious objectives.
