On 13 December 2012, the Australian Government announced the establishment of the Moorebank Intermodal Company Limited (MIC) and the appointment of the Chair and Directors to its Board. MIC will act as landlord over a parcel of land at Moorebank, south west Sydney, and will facilitate the development of an intermodal freight terminal on the site.
