Safe Food Production Queensland is a statutory body, established under the Food Production (Safety) Act 2000. Safe Food Production Queensland reports to the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. It regulates the primary production and processing of meat, eggs, dairy and seafood in Queensland. It works to ensure that Queensland's food production systems meet national food safety standards and ensure that consumers have confidence in the food produced in this State.
