The Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal is an independent statutory authority set up under the Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal Act 1993 (Tas). The tribunal hears appeal and civil enforcement proceedings concerning acts and decisions under: Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993, Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994, Cultural Heritage Act 1995, Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995, Marine Farming Planning Act 1995, Public Health Act 1997, Strata Titles Act 1998, Threatened Species Protection Act 1995, and the Water Management Act 1999. Those Acts state what decisions can be appealed and who may appeal. It is the Registry of the Tasmanian Forest Practices Tribunal.
