We are still in the process of finalising the 2026 schedule of citizenship
ceremonies. When it is finalised we will post the months that we’ll be
hosting ceremonies on our [1]website.

 

Sunshine Coast Council hosts citizenship ceremonies on behalf of the
Department of Home Affairs.

 

The Department of Home Affairs will advise us whom to invite 5-6 weeks out
from a scheduled ceremony. Once we have confirmation from them, we send
out invitations to the ceremony via email. (If we do not get a response by
email we reach out by phone.) Please note that it can take up to 6 months
from approval date to be invited to a ceremony.

 

Any enquiries prior to receiving an invitation from us to a citizenship
ceremony should be directed to the Department of Home Affairs:
