Dear Department of Defence,

As stated in chapter 8.48 of the Defence White Paper 2013:

‘Since 2009, the Government has approved expenditure of over $200 million to fund design, modelling, analysis and technology studies to examine in detail options for the future submarine capability’.

I would like to request a complete breakdown of the figures contributing to the $200 million worth of approved funding, attributed to the stated areas of design, modelling, analysis and technology studies.

I think that officer Stinson did not do her duty. Section 15(3) of the Act says "(3) Where a person: (a) wishes to make a request to an agency; or (b) has made to an agency a request that does not comply with this section;it is the duty of the agency to take reasonable steps to assist the person to make the request in a manner that complies with this section." The reply from the officer does not help the applicant to comply!
