Dear Victorian Department of Education and Training,

I would like to be provided with the detail of the Algorithm used in Victorian Primary school reports to determine "letter" grades.
IE: what is the calculation or system logic used to determine a student's (A,B,C,D,E) rating, based on the result levels entered by teachers.

Yours faithfully,

Hi Jason,

The Victorian FOI system is a little different to the Federal one, as there is a filing fee that must be paid before the request is considered valid.

More information about the Department of Education and Training in Victoria and their FOI system can be found here https://www.education.vic.gov.au/school/...

As you can see, to make a valid request under the Victorian legislation you need to

*make it in writing to the Manager, Freedom of Information
*include an application fee, unless a waiver of fee is granted
*provide enough information to allow the requested documents to be identified.

You have likely met 2 out of 3. You may like to contact them directly using the information in the included link.

Good Luck

Steph
