Dear SA Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources,

Please provide records relating to the redrawing of the boundary of the Coorong & Lower Lakes Wetland Ramsar Site that was notified to the Ramsar Secretariat by the Ramsar Information Sheet (RIS) in May 2013.

I am specifically seeking confirmation of the extent of the alteration of the boundary of the site and the reasons for the redrawing of the boundary, which were stated in the RIS as arising from more accurate measurement.

I am seeking these records specifically in relation to the boundary of the Ramsar site which is adjacent to the northern shoreline of Lake Alexandrina, between the town of Milang and the Tolderol Reserve.

In addition to the records of the variation to the boundary in 2013, including the reasons for the variation, I would be grateful to also receive records relating to the identification of the boundary of the site, prior to the relevant alteration. I understand that prior to the variation of the site in May 2013, the boundary of the site had previously been identified as being the high-water mark of the River Murray flood, circa.1956.

Yours faithfully,

(Not the real) Bob Neil
