How access to information is provided

Access to information held by Campbelltown City Council is governed by the
Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (the GIPA Act) and the
Government Information (Public Access) Regulations 2018 (the GIPA
Regulations). In accordance with the GIPA Act, your request was treated as
an informal request to access information under section 8 of the GIPA Act.

 

Response

This information is not held by Campbelltown City Council. The Department
of Home Affairs deals with citizenship applications and provides Council
with the list of names for each ceremony. Council does not have access to
the Department of Home Affairs waiting list, after a ceremony is complete,
the Department will send Council the list of names for the next ceremony.

The Department of Home Affairs is a federal government agency and as such
are within the jurisdiction of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth)
