In order to request SAPOL information you will need to complete a Freedom
of Information application.  This can be done as follows:

 

1.       Complete the attached form and lodge it as a Police Station with
payment of $39.00; or

2.       Complete an online application at

payment of $39.00 – online payments can be made by credit/debit card.

3.       If you have a valid concession card, attach a copy of that to the
application, then the application fee is waived.  A valid full time
student ID also provides for a concession.

4.       Attach one form of photo ID such as a Drivers Licence or
Passport.

5.       Clearly state the documents you require including, to the best of
your knowledge:

·         Identify the document type/s

·         Type of incident

·         Time/Date/Location of incident

·         Name(s) of persons involved

·         Report number (if known)

6.       If you are requesting information on behalf of someone, please
provide signed authority authorising you to act on their behalf.

 

NB: Freedom of Information have 30 days to deal with applications although
in some cases where it will take more time you will be contacted about any
extra time required.

Dear South Australia Police,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act), I am seeking access
to information about the ending of the Cashless Debit Card program, in the
following areas:

Ceduna and surrounding regions, South Australia

For the period May 22, 2022 to the present.

I am seeking any reports or data, about:

Changes in the incidence of alcohol related crimes in areas where the
cashless debit card was trialled.

If it is easier, I would be happy to have the department create a document
consistent with section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act.
