Please find below the response received from councils’ events team:

Council holds Citizenship Ceremonies in line with the requirements set out
by the Department of Home Affairs in the Australian Citizenship Act.

We have not held any ceremonies yet (August 2025). We currently have
ceremonies planned for September 2025, November 2025, January 2026. Whilst
this is what we have planned, we sometimes run 2 ceremonies on 1 day
pending where our waitlist is at, and we may remove a ceremony if the
waitlist is not long enough. We are yet to determine our ceremonies
between February 2026 to June 2026 as the Department of Home Affairs
recommend that ceremonies are not held on parliamentary sitting dates.
These calendars are not released until later in the year.

The question regarding the average wait time should be directed to the
Department of Home Affairs for response.
