Citizenship Ceremony Dates

We're waiting for Suman Adhikari to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Campbelltown City Council (NSW),

1. I would like to know the total number of applicants, as of 24th November 2023, who have been approved for Australian citizenship and are waiting to attend a Citizenship Ceremony in the Campbelltown City Council area.

2. Furthermore, I'd like to know the current wait time between citizenship approval and the ceremony in the Campbelltown City Council area.

3. Please also indicate the planned (and held) citizenship ceremony dates from November 2023 to December 2024 in the Campbelltown City Council area. As, when I checked on the council website. I was not able to locate it.

How access to information is provided

Access to information held by Campbelltown City Council is governed by the
Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (the GIPA Act) and the
Government Information (Public Access) Regulations 2018 (the GIPA
Regulations). In accordance with the GIPA Act, your request was treated as

Response

This information is not held by Campbelltown City Council. The Department
of Home Affairs deals with citizenship applications and provides Council
with the list of names for each ceremony. Council does not have access to
the Department of Home Affairs waiting list, after a ceremony is complete,
the Department will send Council the list of names for the next ceremony.

The Department of Home Affairs is a federal government agency and as such
are within the jurisdiction of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth)
