Michael Shephard

Dear Department of Health,

I refer to your current review of the Position Statement on Breast Density and Screening.
Should the review decide to change the policy such that women will henceforth be advised where they may have dense breasts there would need to be an increase in the budget to accommodate the additional time of radiologists.

Please provide the document which indicates the budget impact of introducing breast density reporting into BreastScreen Australia.

Yours faithfully,

Michael Shephard
