Estimates briefing papers relating to ANU financial statements or underlying operating deficit
Dear Australian National University,
I am seeking access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act. Specifically, I request copies of the Estimates Briefing Papers prepared for or by the Vice-Chancellor, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Chief Financial Officer of the Australian National University (ANU) for appearances before Senate Estimates on the following dates:
* 6 June 2024
* 7 November 2024
* 27 February 2025
I am requesting documents that relate to ANU's financial situation, including but not limited to:
* ANU’s Financial Statements
* ANU’s underlying operating deficit or surplus
* ANU’s overall operating results

Dear Mr Jost,
You have lodged a similar request that was subject to a practical refusal (FOI 202500033).
Noting that, this request will also attract a practical refusal due to the size of the briefing packs - if you could please target specific material you are after within the briefing packs, that will assist us significantly in processing.
Regarding your request to obtain financial statements etc, this information will be made public via the release of the annual report, which once released, will be made public on the ANU website.
For the time being, we will liaise with you in relation to request 202500033.

Thanks for your response. I think the best way to proceed is to revise the request to be for the same officers and meetings, but to change the contents to be a list of the documents in the briefing packs.
