Dear Mr Laxton

Acknowledgement of Freedom of Information Access request

I refer to your correspondence received on 13 December 2017 seeking access
to documents held by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection
(the Department) under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).

You have requested access to the following:

Incident Detail Report 1-5RLPHP from the Department's Compliance, Case
Management, Detention and Settlement Portal. I also request any documents

Your request was received by the Department on 13 December 2017 and has

Timeframe for receiving your decision

The statutory timeframe for processing a request is 30 days from the date
upon which your application was received by the Department.

The Department’s policy is to exclude the personal details of officers not
in the Senior Executive Service (SES), as well as the mobile and work
telephone numbers of SES staff, contained in documents that fall within
scope of an FOI request. If you require names and contact details of
non-SES officers, or direct telephone numbers of SES staff, please inform
us so the decision maker may consider your request. Otherwise we will take
it that you agree to that information being excluded from the scope of
your request.

Publication of document

Where documents are released to you in response to your request, the
Department may be required to publish these documents on its website
within 10 working days in accordance with section 11C of the FOI Act. 
Publication will not be required where the documents contain personal or
business affairs information.

Dear Mr Laxton

 

I refer to your original requests sent through the “Right to Know” website
on 13 December 2017.

 

On the 11 January, the Department sent you correspondence via Right to
Know requesting that you provide an alternate email address. The reason
for this request was due to the fact that the information you are
requesting contains information of a personal nature and in accordance
with Departmental policy, responses of this nature will not be issued via
a public forum.  The Department is committed to protecting the privacy of
all individuals, including yourself.

 

To date, the Department has not received an alternative point of contact
for you.

 

Subsequent to this, on 14 February 2018, you requested an ‘internal
review’ via the Right to Know website in relation to Incident Detail
Report 1-5RLPHP and Incident Detail Report 1-736A1L.  Given that no
decision on access has yet been issued in relation to your requests, it is
not possible for you to seek an internal review at this point in time.

 

The purposes of this email is to advise you that the Department is unable
to progress your request any further without the ability to contact you
