I am writing to request under the Freedom of Information Act, copies of any correspondence with the department in relation to funding requests for the Data Retention Implementation Plan for: Real World Technology Solutions Pty Ltd.

Any supporting documents which resulted in recommendation or support for public funding under this scheme are also requested.

Freedom of Information Request FOI 16/130

 

I refer to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI
Act) for access to documents relating to the Data Retention Implementation
Plan for: Real World Technology Solutions Pty Ltd. I have taken your
request to be for:

 

“copies of any correspondence with the department in relation to funding
requests for the Data Retention Implementation Plan for: Real World
Technology Solutions Pty Ltd.

 

Any supporting documents which resulted in recommendation or support for
public funding to Real World Technology Solutions Pty Ltd under the Data
Retention Grants Funding Programme are also requested.” 

 

Can you please confirm by COB Tuesday 13 September 2016 that this is the
correct interpretation of your request.

 

We received your request on 6 September 2016 and the 30 day statutory
period for processing your request commenced from the day after that date.
You should therefore expect a decision from us by 7 October 2016.  The
period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third parties or
for other reasons. We will advise you if this happens.

 

It is the usual practice of the department to not disclose the names and
contact details of junior officers of the department and other government
agencies, where that personal information is contained in documents within
the scope of a request.  The names and contact details of senior officers
will generally be disclosed.  We will take it that you agree to the
removal of junior officers’ personal information unless you advise that
you would like us to consider releasing that information as part of the
documents you have requested.

I refer to the email of 23 September 2016,  in which the department
provided you with a notice of assessment of charges for your Freedom of
Information request.

You were provided with the opportunity to do one of the following within
30 days, specifically by 24 October 2016:

a)      agree to pay the charge

b)      contend the charge, or

c)      withdraw your request

You were advised that if you did not do any of the options listed above
within 30 days your request would be taken to be withdrawn.

Accordingly, as you did not respond to the notice your FOI request has
been withdrawn.
