1. There is a preDA in progress as of January 2019. This will be the seventh DA for the former Balmain Leagues Club property at Victoria Road Rozelle.

2. During October 2018 the original Balmain Leagues Club placed itself into volountary administration, as thingsv had come to the end of the road. This was done through Parker Insolvancy of Sydney. There is no connection to Jamie Parker the local member. Name is just a coincidence. Gregory Parker of the insolvancy found Balmain Leagues Club Ltd to be be in extreme difficulty. Fivedock venue closed straight away with all staff sacked. Books which had been hidden by the directors deliberately, revealed 10.3 million dollars oweing as November 2018. Wests of Ashfield have stepped in to prevent demise of joint Wests Tigers Venture. This has occurred December 2018, although creditors & Wests are quibbling.

3. The NSW Government meanwhile has given notice in early 2018 it wants the former Balmain Leagues Club site for assistance with road construction for 5-7 years. It will compulsorilyy acquire the site from current owner developer Malaysian-Chinese Heworth Holdings, to meet this need.

4. Wests of Ashfield is expected to protect the former Balmain Leagues Club and amalgamate it fully into Wests at Ashfield, making Wests -Tigers a fully integrated operation.
