Dear Minister for Immigration and Border Protection,

Could you please send the documents showing the detail for processed visa subclass 820 and 801 applications for the financial years of 2015 and 2016. If 2016 is not yet available, then please send for 2014 and 2015. Specifically, the documents containing the following information:

- Percentage of applications approved / rejected
- Reasons for rejected applications
- Amount of rejections sent to tribunal and the percentage of those that were then approved or rejected

Queries regarding your current Visa status

You can check your visa details and conditions on the Department’s Visa
Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) portal. If you do not have the
necessary reference numbers to access the VEVO portal, please refer to the

Refund of Visa fees

If you are seeking a refund of fees associated with your Visa, you should
contact the office where you lodged your visa application. Details of our

Making a Visa application

Registered migration agents are authorised to provide immigration advice
or assistance, including advice regarding the lodgement of visa
applications. Further information on migration agents may be found
[6]here. Please note that the Department is unable to assist you in this
regard.

application through ImmiAccount, you should submit your concerns through
the ImmiAccount Technical Support Form, which is accessible [7]here.

Australian Citizenship

If you are seeking evidence of your own immigration status for

Notification of Change in Circumstances

If you have lodged a visa application and your circumstances have changed,

Notification of incorrect answers

If you wish to correct answers that you have provided to the Department
either:

· in a visa application

· on a passenger card or

· in response to a notice given to you by the Department inviting

Dear Mr Larkson

Please find attached the acknowledgement of receipt for your recent FOI
Request.

Request for an extension of time

Please be aware that the Department has seen a significant increase in the
number of FOI requests received by this agency. As a result there are
expected delays involved with the processing of FOI requests at the
present time. Generally, requests will be processed in the order that they
are received. The Department will endeavour to finalise your request as
quickly as possible.

For this reason the Department seeks your agreement under s.15AA of the
FOI Act to extend the timeframe for the processing of your request by 30
days.

It would assist the Department in managing its FOI caseload if you could
provide a response to this request by close of business, Wednesday, 22
March 2017.

The agency is asking for a time extension.

Sadly I'd recommend accepting it at this point, because probably the information commissioner will grant it to them if they ask.

This agency has been sending this through as a standard response for quite a while. I wonder if they are planning to increase their FOI capacity in response, or if they plan to just keep failing to meet the required deadlines?

Thank you very much for your reply. I understand the high workload and appreciate your quick feedback. It would be great to get this information as soon as possible, but I would be happy to extend the deadline. Would an extra 15 days (45 days in total from time of submission) be adequate?
