Dear NSW Department of Planning and Environment,
I am writing to request information regarding recruitment practices within the department.
Could you please provide the total number of positions advertised on the I Work for NSW website by the department?
Among the positions advertised, I am interested in knowing the breakdown of how many were filled by internal staff and how many by external applicants.
Additionally, I understand that the Department collects data on the country of birth of applicants during the application process. Could you please provide information on the top 10 countries of birth from which successful applicants originated?

are requesting information for?
Please note that on 1 January 2024, the Department of Planning and
Environment ceased to exist and was replaced by two new departments:
o the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, and
o the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
