Dear Saskia,
I made a request on April 27, and you mentioned that "I am making inquires with the relevant departments and I will be in touch in the next few days." but never received any information so far could you please response initial inquiries.

Yours sincerely,

FOI, Moreland City Council

Hello Kemal

I deeply apologise for the length of time it has taken to respond to you. I have been following up and making enquiries with the different areas within Council and collating responses.

There is information that we can provide outside of the FOI act as an informal release.

In relation to the weekly numbers of parking infringement notices issued at the Champ Street since 1 January 2017, our system does not allow us to break the numbers in this way. However, we can provide the number of parking infringements notices for the suburb of Coburg since 1 January 2017.

In relation to the total number of fines issued at Champ Street on 24 November 2019, unfortunately our records do not allow us to break down the data of infringements in this way. It may be possible for us to provide the total number of fines issued in Coburg for a specific date range.

The annual financial report section in Councils annual report, on Councils website (https://www.moreland.vic.gov.au/about-us...) has information you may find useful in relation to the total yearly cost for the authorised officers that issue a parking infringement notices, including salary, social benefits and superannuation as well as the revenue raised from parking infringement notices for each of the last three financial years.

We can provide you a copy of the position description for authorised officers, which contains the key performance indicators.

The enquiries I have made so far are that Council does not have meeting minutes to consider improvements to parking option and facilities in the vicinity of Champ Street.

I hope you find this information useful. Officers do play an important role in maintaining public safety, ensuring residents, businesses and emergency vehicles can access properties and responding to complaints.

Please let me know if you want to proceed with this informal release of information and I would be happy to facilitate the process.

If you do want to proceed with a FOI request, more information is also available on Council’s website at https://www.moreland.vic.gov.au/about-us...

Parts of your original request may be obtained via an FOI request. I can also be contacted on 9240 1290 or at [email address] if you would like to discuss a FOI request or the informal release of information.

Once again, I apologise for the length of time it has taken to respond to you.

Kind regards
Saskia
