Pursuant to the Defence Force Discipline Appeals Act 1955 (Cwlth) ("Act"), the Tribunal can hear appeals as against conviction, prescribed acquittal and punishment in respect of prosecutions before the Australian Military Court. Further, pursuant to recent amendments to the Act, the Tribunal can also hear questions of law referred by the Director of Military Prosecutions.
