The Government Information Strategy Unit (GISU) is part of the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office (TAHO) which provides the Tasmanian Government with a management framework of legislation, guidelines and advice about the creation, capture, retention and ongoing management of state records. GISU supports the state and local government, GBE's and State owned companies by providing training, forums and appraisal advice, including being tasked with the important role of selecting and transferring the right records into Tasmania's archival collection.
