The Tourism Quality Council of Australia (TQCA) was established to oversee the National Tourism Accreditation Framework (NTAF) and administer T-QUAL Accreditation under Tourism 2020. The TQCA is responsible for overseeing the administration of T-QUAL Accreditation and is the decision maker for granting T-QUAL Accreditation Master Licences to quality assurance schemes such as accreditation programs and Large Tourism Organisations that apply a quality standard to their operations, business units or related business entities. The TQCA is comprised of industry representatives, including an independent Chair, and representatives from the Australian Standing Committee on Tourism (ASCOT), Consumer Affairs Australia New Zealand (CAANZ), Tourism Australia and the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism.
