Dear Philip,

Thanks for your message.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic), a FOI request entails an
application fee of $29.60, plus copying and search charges. The link below
provides some additional information on FOI costs:

FOI fees and charges may be waived if you can provide evidence of
financial hardship. You will need to provide a copy of your health care or
pension card in lieu of the application fee.

You can submit your FOI request and pay the application fee (or seek a
waiver) on-line at:

Please select the “Department of Transport” as the relevant agency.
Following a machinery of government change, the Public Transport
Development Authority (trading as Public Transport Victoria or PTV) became
part of the Department of Transport on 1 July 2019. For further
information, please refer to the Victoria Government Gazette
[4]http://www.gazette.vic.gov.au/gazette/Ga...

Scope of your request

The current scope of your request is quite broad and would potentially
cover documents from a number of different work areas and teams,
including:

o Operational performance (ie punctuality and service reliability);
o Operational safety related matters;
o Ministerial correspondence;
o Customer service correspondence;
o Network disruptions;
o [5]Interactions with the Northeast Link Project;
o Bus contract management; and
o Network and service planning.

Your request also does not specify a timeframe for the search for
documents.

Processing such a request would be likely to result in an unreasonable
diversion of the resources of the Department and attract grounds to refuse
the request under section 25A of the Freedom of Information Act. If you
wish to proceed with this request, we will work with you to refine the
scope of your request to a more manageable form.

Regards,

Gavin
