Dear Australian Broadcasting Corporation,

Consistent with provisions under the Freedom of Information Act 1982, I am requesting access to the following:
1. All documents, in any format (including but not limited to text messaging services, emails or notes, etc.) held by Justin Stevens, Brett Farrell, or Gavin Fang from 9 November to 12 November 2025 referencing Jane Hume.

To assist the ABC in more promptly processing the request, I do not require duplicates of documents, duplicate email chains or publicly available documents.

In order to protect the personal information of staff, I do not require the contact information of staff referred to any of the documents.

Yours faithfully,

Kim Knight

ABC FOI 202526-071

Good evening Mr Knight

The ABC notes you sent 5 emails to the ABC FOI team on 13 November 2025. These requests concern two TV episodes and will be treated as 2 separate requests.

Section 24(2) of the Commonwealth FOI Act provides that agencies may treat 2 or more requests as a single request when the request relates to the same documents, including those where the subject matter is substantially similar.

You may wish to withdraw 2 of the 3 emails about Insiders as we will be corresponding via the email used for the third part of that request such that the 3 emails received between 3.25pm and 3.36pm on 13 November 2025 are processed as a single request about Insiders, with such correspondence sent to the 3.36pm email address for all 3 parts of the scope. This is procedurally simpler as one decision letter will be issued covering the 3 emailed scopes as they constitute a single request.

The reason we suggest you may wish to update Right to Know that you have withdrawn 2 of the 3 emails about Insiders is that it would otherwise appear on the website to not be processed when that is not the case as all three email requests are being processed as one file under the FOI Act.

Many thanks,

ABC FOI team
