From: J Motbey

Delivered

Dear Australian Public Service Commission (APSC),

The following is a request for documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).

I seek access to documents held by the APSC because those documents were sent by any SES officer at the APSC, or the Australian Public Service Commissioner, to any of the following persons, in the following periods (including where those documents were sent to the following persons because those persons were cc’d in an email):

- Eric Abetz (16 September 2015 – present)
- Tim Wilson (12 December 2014 – present)
- James Paterson (12 December 2014 – present)
- Bridget McKenzie (12 December 2014 – present)

I also seek access to any documents held by the APSC because those documents were received by any SES officer at the APSC, or the Australian Public Service Commissioner, where those documents were sent by the following persons, in the following periods (including where those documents were received by any SES officer at the APSC, or the Australian Public Service Commissioner because those officers (including the Commissioner) were cc’d in an email)):

- Tim Wilson (12 December 2014 – present)
- James Paterson (12 December 2014 – present)
- Bridget McKenzie (12 December 2014 – present)
- Eric Abetz (14 September 2015 – present)

I am aware of the existence of at least 13 documents that fall within the terms of my request. A search of all items on the APSC’s email server (including archived and deleted items) using relevant search terms will allow the APSC to quickly and accurately identify documents that fall within the scope of my request.

Regards

J Motbey

Mostly I classify a response like this one to say "clarification requested" because the agency has told the applicant that some more information (or money!) is needed before the request will be processed. This time, I have put the response in the category of "refused" because it is more than 1 year since the agency responded and the applicant has not made a follow-up. This does not mean that the agency will refuse the request when an application is made in the correct (required).
