Dear Jimp

We are currently processing your FOI request 24-81 and are hoping you can assist by responding to the two (2) queries below.

1. Please confirm the scope of your request which Airservices' has interpreted as follows:

You are seeking the segment of audio for American Airlines AAL7 that starts with the Brisbane(BN) Approach and tower frequencies through to landing for 28 October 2024.

2. Please confirm that you are happy for Airservices to remove non-related transmissions from the audio. Airservices removes non-related transmissions (e.g. other aircraft noise or radio, unrelated ATC coordination captured in background of recording etc.) under s.22 of the FOI Act because they are not within scope of your FOI request and notes that this has the added benefit of increasing audibility for the listener.

If possible, we would appreciate a response to these queries by COB Wednesday, 4 December 2024.

Kind regards
Kathryn
