Dear Australian Broadcasting Corporation,

I am requesting any information regarding the cancelling of the Big Day Out music festival in 2014.

I would like to see any recorded statistics of ticket sales and running costs, as well as potentially harmful internal dialogue between organisers and promoters.

Yours faithfully,

Jackson Barron

Dear Mr Barron

I have received your request for access to documents under the Freedom of
Information Act (1982) (the FOI Act).

I note that you have requested access to documents relating to the Big Day
Out music festival.

The Big Day Out is not an ABC event. I wonder whether you may have
confused this event with triple j’s One Night Stand?

In the circumstances, there does not appear to be any purpose in
processing your request. Unless I hear from you, I will not take further
steps. My contact details are set out below if you would like to discuss
the matter.

Regards

Big Day Out is promoted by C3 Presents, which is a private company and not subject to the FOI Act. Perhaps someone in the NSW or VIC Government has the information, but you can't FOI them via Right to Know (just yet, we are working on it!).
