Cost of closing the TAFE NSW Training and Education Support (TES) Units in 2014 restructure

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, NSW Department of Education should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear NSW Department of Education,

I'd like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

Could you please provide the total amount of funds spent on closing down the TAFE NSW Training and Education Support (TES) Units in 2014.

Please include total amount spent on staff redundancies.

If possible, separate totals for each TES unit (eg Industry Skills Unit-Ultimo, Industry Skills Unit-Orange/Granville, Social Inclusion & Vocational Access Skills Unit, eHub etc).

Dear Mr Gray,

 

The NSW Department of Education has referred your request for government
information to TAFE NSW which is a separate agency. Your email states:

“I'd like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

You made your request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982
(Commonwealth legislation) but the email subject line states that this is
a Government Information (Public Access) request (NSW legislation).

 

Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA
Act), a request for government information of this type becomes a ‘valid
access application’ when it complies with the following formal
requirements:

·        It is in writing;

·        It clearly indicates it is an access application made under
Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW);

·        It is accompanied by an application fee of $30;

·        It states a postal address for correspondence; and

·        It includes information enabling the government information
sought to be identified.
