Dear James

To request access to University records under Freedom of Information
[FOI], you will need to complete the attached application form and forward
it along with the application fee of $33.50.

However, you should note that FOI provides access to existing records, and
is not an information gathering service. Therefore your application will
need to be framed in terms such as access to 'records relating to...' or
'a copy of....'.

Given the broad nature of your queries, can I suggest that you first allow
me to forward your message to the School of Dentistry to ascertain if
there are publicly available documents that might provide the information
you are requesting without resorting to FOI.

If that information is not available, then you may choose to proceed with
an FOI application.

I’ll wait for your views on that option.

Regards

Sue

Dear James

I have received the following details from the Faculty of Health Sciences in relation to publically available information to answer your queries.

They have also provided a link to the BDS and BOH Admissions Guide: https://health.adelaide.edu.au/admission... where much of this information is contained.

2. What is the selection criteria for applicants invited for interview?

Interviews are by invitation only, and will be offered by the University on the basis of an applicant’s UMAT score. Invitations for an interview will be based on performance in the UMAT with each of the three UMAT sections having equal weighting. (See page 9 of the Admissions Guide).

Interview criteria
The interview will focus on an applicant’s:

It isn’t utilised in the admission entry process. Personal statements, testimonials, character/ school/work references, awards, certificates and predicted results do not make up any of the selection components and will not be considered. Applicants are asked not to submit these documents to the University. (See pages 9 and 14 of the Admission Guide)
